For almost three decades, Mama’s Kitchen commemorated World AIDS Day on Dec. 1 at the Village Hillcrest Retail Center with its Tree of Life Tree Lighting Ceremony. It provided the opportunity for the local community to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from AIDS-related illness.
