In the last Presidential Election, if only half of the Latinos, African Americans, and LGBTQ+ folks who were eligible to vote had exercised that right, we would have a different President in the White House right now. You have all heard that “This is the most important election of our lives!” Well, 2020 IS the most important election you can imagine because it will define the soul of America! We get rid of the antiquated system called the Electoral College. Had this outdated system not been in place, our history books would be telling of a President Al Gore and of our Nation’s first Woman President, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
When John F. Kennedy was elected as President, it was about passing the torch to a new type of leadership. Now, decades later, it is time to pass the torch to Pete Buttigieg, probably the most intelligent, decent, proud Army Veterans ever to run for the office of President.
We all know that Todd Gloria is on his way to make history in San Diego as the first mayor of color, the first who rents, and the first who is gay. Todd will need a strong City Council to support his plans and Stephen Whitburn is the clear choice and is also the most qualified for the job. Be aware of his opponent Chris Olson! He has been getting money from Trump Republicans, conservative developers, and is a Republican in Democratic clothing! I urge you to vote for Raul Campillo (District 7), Marni Von Wilpert (District 5) and Will Moore (District 1). Nora Vargas and Olga Diaz would certainly help Nathan Fletcher shake things up on the County Board of Supervisors and keep it from being in the hands of conservative Republicans. Stephen Groce is the best choice in the San Diego Unified School Board race and as for Congress; let’s make national history by electing our current City Council President Georgette Gomez to the U. S. Congress. She would be the first Latina LGBTQ+ ever elected! We MUST prove that San Diego Congressional seats cannot be bought!
YES ON C!!! We need a bigger convention center PERIOD! My top two priorities are GLORIA FOR MAYOR and GOMEZ FOR CONGRESS!!! GET OUT AND VOTE on Tuesday, March 3!
