Dr. Jennifer Campbell, San Diego District 2 City Councilmember and one of the region’s leading LGBTQ+ elected officials, announced today the endorsements of Equality California (EQCA), California’s leading LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, and Victory Fund, the oldest and largest national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ leaders to public office.

The endorsements of Victory Fund and Equality California add to the chorus of strong support from the LGBTQ+ community behind Dr. Jen Campbell’s re-election campaign. Dr. Jen Campbell has been endorsed by San Diego Democrats for Equality and many LGBTQ+ local leaders, including Mayor Todd Gloria, State Senator Toni Atkins, former Senator, Assemblymember and San Diego City Councilmember Chris Kehoe, Assemblymember Chris Ward, San Diego Councilmember Stephen Whitburn, Chula Vista City Councilmember Steve Padilla, and Encinitas City Councilmember Joe Mosca.

Dr. Jen Campbell is a board-certified medical physician and member of the San Diego City Council. Dr. Jen spent over three decades as a doctor caring for families and delivering healthcare prior to winning election to the City Council in 2018. On the City Council, Dr. Jen has helped guide San Diego’s emergency public health response to COVID-19, moved San Diego towards 100% clean energy and forged the landmark compromise to reduce whole-home short term rentals. Dr. Jen and her partner Suzanne live in San Diego’s Bay Ho neighborhood.
