I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, I met Miss Kerioki at South Bay Youth Prom where she performed and brought the house down. The kids really loved her. She was so gracious by taking time to listen and talk with the kids that night. I was really impressed with her kindness, patience, and talents. I think you will be as well.
How did you end up in San Diego and what do you love about it?
When I moved to San Diego it was about 2017 and I was looking for some change of scenery (when you live in Upstate NY, the closest ocean is about 4-5 hours away).
What gets you most excited about life?
I would say getting my lavender black iced coffeeβ¦ all jokes aside! I mean I think life is a blessing to live every day; some are good, and some arenβt the best, but living my best life always gets me excited for the future endeavors for life!
In your professional life, what makes your business stand out and how has it changed your life?
I am a Drag performer. So doing Drag is basically running a business of your own from self-promoting yourself to coming up with new concepts, to making sure you look correct, to making merchandise, to the one thing I think is most important β which is networking yourself! It definitely changed and saved my life from some dark places that I been caught in my life, and I learned to be a man from dressing like a woman. Because putting yourself in those shoes makes you learn more about yourself!
In one or two sentences, how would your friends describe you?
Bat S*** crazy. I am Charismatic, Unique, I have a whole lot of Nerve and of course, Talented.
What or who really makes you laugh and why?
I think a lot of Irish/British/Scottish sitcom shows like βMrs. Brownβs Boysβ makes me laugh the hardest because thereβs so much physical comedies in there that I fall out of my chair crying of laughter.
Who inspires you in life to do your very best and why?
There are so many people that inspire me in my life, but I think Iβm inspired from performers now in the scene because of the dedication and work they put into it.
If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future what would it be and why?
Honestly, I know what happened in my past, Iβm here in the present and the future can always wait. I need to live my life right now and not worry about what comes or my past that may bring good or bad memories. Because Iβm here in the present doing what I need to do.
If you could give someone advice about your art, hobby, or business what would you tell them?
Practice and think outside the box. And watch what you say because attitude will affect your altitude.
What are your top five values you live by?
Top 5 values. Mmmm⦠good question honestly. My singing is a top priority value. My family, my friends, my performance art and of course⦠buffalo chicken!
Gratitude is so important in each of our lives, what are you most grateful for, and how do you pay it forward?
Iβm always grateful for performers giving me a chance to perform especially when I first started so when I see a new Queen, I want to give them a chance by giving them a debut!
